Albert Street Uniting Church, Brisbane

Designed by Australian architect and artist, George Henry Male Addison (1857-1922), Albert Street Uniting Church was completed in 1889.

The warmth of the terracotta bricks of this Victorian Gothic Revival church contrasts beautifully against the blue sky, reflected in the glazed building behind.

Situated near a busy intersection where Roma Street meets Ann Street. It shares a link to the past under City Hall’s watchful eye, located diagonally across King George’s Square.

One Central Park

Slowly capturing views of this growing tower, this is the east face. I like the contrast of the neighbouring sun kissed terracotta buildings against living greenery. The north and west faces can. E seen in Vertical Garden and Poetry of people and place
Built on the site of a brewery that was hidden from view by a high concertinaed brick wall, One Central Park rises above eateries, design studios and fashion stores located in the podium.
The Old Clare Hotel, seen in the middle of the picture is one of the heritage buildings that have been retained as part of the 5.8 hectare site in Chippendale, Sydney.

If you’re going to Broadbeach on the Gold Coast you’ll no doubt catch a glimpse of Air. This 37 storey residential tower was designed by Australian based architect, Ian Moore.

I particularly like the bold yellow colour on the back of the building contrasted against the blue sky.
