There is so much going on in this picture. The green and terracotta colours coupled with cast iron shadows remind me of a late Victorian interior.
One of the jetties in Iron Cove. My first day back at work tomorrow after four weeks of bliss filled days at home.
A little yellow and orange brings sunshine to an otherwise dreary grey day.
Iron Cove, Sydney, Australia.
Shallow cast-iron bowl sits
Upon a pedestal, black,
Surmounted by smaller urn,
Silver metal sphere within.
Water fell from one t’other.
Home now to Sylvan trailing.

Some Sydney suburbs are fortunate to be graced with cast iron and tropical plants. A far cry from my childhood memories of concrete and weeds in Birmingham, UK.
