When I close my eyes I see flashes of golden yellow, patches of clouding, plus, red and green against a background of the darkest shade of khaki. Part of this is due to afterimage, there is lots of retinal noise that appears as dots and dashes. Occasionally I see swirls, squiggles, zigzags and groups of lines. This usually occurs when I close my eyes, I’m ready to drift off to sleep and the bedroom lights are still on. The above is a representation of what I see.

Always assumed it was black, but when I lay that assumption aside it does look dark green. Interesting!
