I have been walking past the most glorious yellow flowering trees for the last few weeks.
It turns out they are a variety of jacaranda! Spring in Brisbane, I highly recommend it.

I did not know that!
I have very fond memories of jacarandas in Kenya, absolutely beautiful trees; but I didn’t know of yellow varieties either. A 🙂
We have a lot of these yellow trees on the medium of local main streets. I always wondered what they were. I believe it looks the same as yours – so now I know.
Never knew!
So Australians celebrate Halloween?
It must be funny to do this autumnal holiday when it is spring like.
They do indeed, following our the trick or treat custom of our cousins across the ocean. I think, as we are in the other hemisphere, we should be gaily adorning the maypole rather than buffing up the besom.
I had to look that up !
Me too, especially as the leaves resemble oleander rather than the ferny purple jacaranda ones.
Beautiful!
