This gargoyle like image evolved from blending blobs of colour. The ear and teeth shapes are intentional. I used Paper and Pencil by fiftythree to create this haunting Halloween abstract.

Mostly quiet; purring of the engine,
Pierced by one voice.
Headphones, immaculate dark brown hair,

Jacaranda shadows
This jacaranda’s flower buds are about to burst forth, Petersham Park, Sydney, Australia. The tree’s branch system is a twisting and tortured sight. I like the shadows on the grass; I have accentuated them with a noir filter.
Elder Xanthorrhoea
I posted a picture of our potted grass tree’s flower spike here it is about 1.8 metres high. In comparison, I took the above photo at work this week, this amazing spike reaches over 3 metres!

The title could just as easily read good evening, blossom too.

Floppy poppies
In nature’s garish hues.
Triffid buds extend, hairy curlicues.
Bright anemone-like stamens entice
Tendrils shivering towards your voice,
Tantalisingly,
Audrey purrs, “feed me’s”.
Humming tree
There were three trees in the backyard when we moved in almost one year ago. The tree fern was already dead, the pine tree quickly followed, and the ficus-like one above had been heavily pruned. For the past couple of weeks bees have been busily collecting from clusters of creamy white flowers. The humming sound and being showered with pollen while sitting at the table below has been a rare treat.
Effervescent Barbarella bubbles
As a child I spent hours drawing organic shapes then filling them with circles. The above is an example of the technique I drew over a few days in Paper 53 for iPad. I started with the basic shape, the rest evolved as I progressed.
