It is only in the last four years that I have appreciated the beauty of nature up close. Our home is in a suburb about 15 minutes from the centre of Sydney by train. Whatever the season there is usually something flowering. I like the idea of the excitement of living in the middle of a city, however I feel the urge to seek out a slower pace of life.
Gosh … I find it quite moving, Robert. Living in a New York highrise, I rarely see flowers of this extraordinary beauty. Wow.

It looks a bit like a dog rose! 😉
I miss Australia so much.
You’re right it does look like a rose. Are you living in UK permanently?
