We moved into our north facing ninth floor apartment on a chilly dreary Monday, two days ago.
This opaque view is taken from my sofa spot, gazing over Eagle Farm, beyond Morton Bay, towards the Pacific Ocean on the horizon.
The sun’s rise silhouettes the appendages of a dracaena gifted by Clarice in the year we arrived in Australia, 1998.
Wow! Big change. While I miss having my house, I don’t miss upkeep and repairs. Love your view.
Thank you, Eileen. When we moved into the house 2 years ago, I had the romantic notion I would be able share the work in maintaining the garden by weeding. My body had other ideas, I managed it once.
Yes reality stinks sometime! But there are always two sides to everything and I’m beginning to learn how to focus on the good, rather than the bad.
I think an apartment these days would be good.
I am hoping so. Thank you for your comment.
I hope the weather didn’t dampen your mood – wondering if you are feeling relieved that you’re in etc.?
I will be relieved after today. We are going to the house to clean and collect the rest of the stuff. Settlement is scheduled for 3 July.
May this new chapter of Life be a good one for you both.
Thank you.
Lovely to see Mum’s cutting. It’s flourishing. She’d be very happy. ❤️
