honed smooth;
calmed.
Fantastic eruptions:
onyx,
umber,
rust,
oxblood veins
fan,
crisscross
‘gainst ghostly light.
Charcoal shades,
haunting greys-
foretell, foretold-
or future Faustian fable,
unknown.
