Golden hue
Late afternoon is one of my favourite times of day for taking photographs; especially when the light has a warm golden hue.
Issue resolved
I just checked into Sydney International airport. I was cleared through passport control and experienced my first body scan. After a walk that felt like miles I arrived at the lounge.
I don’t know why I looked at my boarding pass after eating a light breakfast. The surname was correct, not the first name though. So much for airport security!
Polychromatic roof
Call me a traditionalist, I find this roof a more unsettling than the darkening clouds.

Once came a man with head of greed,
High and mighty upon his steed.
Bewitched was he by ancient glades,
Of purple caps and orange blades.
While here he learned that riches sought
Are worthless when life is so short.
Homeward bound his heart filled with gold,
A new perspective to be told.

Sydney, Australia, is midway through Winter. This tree hanging onto its russet leaves is a welcome relief from a grey sky.
