My thoughts and memories are like leaves on a tree, they form and develop into buds before bursting into life. Drawing strength from the tree the leaves in turn provide nourishment from the sun. In time the leaves like memories fade and die, to be absorbed back into the cycle of lie.
How would you describe your thoughts?

My thoughts are like butterflies…….. They flit from the past to the present to the future and inward and outward… The “big” picture is beginning to have a shape, but still missing a lot of important pieces…….
That’s beautiful Eileen, so light, fragile, gentle and often colourful.
It’s amazing to me how a memory will appear again from no where. Some familiar association will bring it from the depths of forgotten only for it to comfort me like and old friend. One of the main reasons I started my blog was to take some of those memories and place them on a shelf for safe keeping.
I like your analogy; my blog serves a similar purpose.
