This apartment block is one of many in a tree lined road with planted verges. Off street parking and providing access to the buildings limits the space available for gardens. Clever planting provides colour and life to this otherwise austere facade. Agaves are one of our favourites, we will include some in our tropical garden.

They are gorgeous.
I have those same agaves in my front yard. They are hardy and will spread. They are easily cut, maintained and propagated. All you will need is one cutting and you are on your way. Beautiful blooms too.
Just the type of tough cookie I like. I didn’t realise they flowered.
Agaves grow like weeds in our area; we have to constantly dig them up and prevent them from taking over. One has become almost triffid-like in its size.
One man’s delight is another man’s pest.
It’s a funny old world; they are very expensive to buy them here.
I can send you several ‘pups’ as it were !
Thank you for your kind offer, unfortunately customs get twitchy about importing plants, they would probably clean them to death.
